He's one bad apple she just can't
resist…
Kennedy Sinclair never dreamed
she'd own a pie shop and an orchard in a small town like Destiny Bay. But
nestled between the mountains and the Pacific Ocean, it's the perfect place to
cross something off her "Life's short so eat the icing first" list
and start her life over from scratch. Her shop, Sweetie Pies, is famous for its
hot, flaky apple turnovers and sinfully delicious deep dish pie. For Kennedy
though, nothing is more enticing than the tall, strapping slice of temptation
who keeps coming back for more.
Luke Callahan is determined to
make his hard cider business a success. With his beloved father's cider recipe
and the opportunity of a lifetime in his grasp, he'll stop at nothing to get
this deal done. There's just one catch: he needs Kennedy's apples. At first, he
thinks it'll be as easy as pie to charm those apples right off her trees. But
Kennedy isn't falling for his tender charms or his wicked ways. When the
negotiations start heating up, so do the feelings they have for each other. And
it takes just one kiss to seal the deal…

REVIEW
Iam a huge fan of Marina Adair books ! I was so excited about Last Kiss of Summer.Marina Adair writes such fantastic stories and I was thrilled that I got the chance to read this book ,I read it as soon as I possibly could and absolutely loved it . Last Kiss of Summer is now one of my favorite books by Marina Adair It was an excellent start to the Destiny Bay series.
In this story we follow Kennedy and Luke and I absolutely loved these two characters .Kennedy at the beginning of story was essentially starting over so seeing her determined to do what made her happy, owning Sweet Pies (I really want to visit and eat everything that was sold in this store lol) .and in the process meeting Luke was just lovely .Luke was just wonderful in this book ,even when he was stubborn and frustrating you could see that he was a good guy determined to make his hard cider business as successful as possible. I was rooting for them to be together from there very first interaction they had in this book .Watching them get to know each other, laugh with each other , let down there walls and eventually fall in love was just fantastic. If I had to describe there romance into 3 words they would be sweet , sexy and swoon worthy .Out of all the season Fall is my favorite so the fact that this book was set in the Fall just makes me love it even more ,the descriptions in this book just create these beautiful vivid pictures in my mind of what the wonderful small town of Destiny Falls would looked like .Marina Adair takes a sweet sexy romance, the beautiful setting of Destiny Bay and a plot that will keep you reading nonstop until you are at the end and creates a wonderful story . Last Kiss summer is one the best contemporary romances I have read of 2016 .
Last Summer Kiss is a sexy , sweet , heartwarming , funny story . I cannot wait to see what Marina Adair does next in the Destiny bay series .If you love all of these things in your books I suggest you pick up a copy.

5/5 STARS
Q&A With Marina Adair
1 Where did the Idea for Last Kiss of Summer come from?
I was watching a show on these super, sexy hard cider distillery guys and I thought. Yes!
2 Can you carry us through what your writing process looks like?
I am an obsessive plotter, so I have a complete map of my story before I write the first word. Then I rely on consistency. Sitting my butt in the chair every day and getting words on the page
3 We all love books where what are some of your favorite books?
Pride and Prejudice
Honor’s Splendor by Julie Garwood
Gone Too Far by Suzanne Brockman
Simply Irrespirable by Jill Shalvis
4 Describe Last Kiss of Summer In 5 words?
Heated, witty ,sensual, tender, and pie. Lots of pie!
5 What are you working on right now writing wise?
The most exciting news is that i have a movie coming out. Hallmark optioned the rights to AUTUMN IN THE VINEYARD, part of my St. Helena Vineyards series. The heroine will be played by Rachael Leigh Cook, and the movie airs this October on Hallmark Channel.
In writing news, the first book in my new Eastons series, CHASING I DO, where it takes the best man to catch a run away bride, is finally out! I am really excited about this band of brothers where, family comes first, business moves fast, and life is nothing more than a game of risk. They don’t mind breaking the rules or testing the limits, but when it comes to matters of the heart … they play for keeps.
I just typed THE END on book 2 in the Destiny Bay series, FEELS LIKE THE FIRST TIME, which is a friends to loves story between a former NHL god and the town’s tough girl. It releases April of 2017.
I also have a new series, Sequoia Lake, which follows a team of bad ass search and rescue men as they each find love in the rugged Sierra Nevada. Book 1, IT STARTED WITH A KISS, releases 1-30-17.
EXCERPT
Kennedy rested her elbows on the counter and leaned forward. “You cook, clean, and make house calls? Be still, my heart.”
“I aim to please.” He dried off his hands and brought two steaming mugs of coffee to the counter. “Which is why I was trying to be quiet, so you could get another few minutes of sleep, before I surprised you in bed.” He grinned. It was a wicked grin. “Again.”
Luke had done more than surprise her last night; he’d spoiled her for other men. Sure, he was an incredible lover, but it was the tender moments in between that made her nervous.
This thing between them couldn’t last. She knew that. She also understood that if he was looking for something more permanent, she wouldn’t be the kind of woman to inspire that kind of commitment. She was unable to do it with her perfect match, or even her own mother. The one person who was supposed to love her unconditionally. Which left Kennedy painfully afraid that she was missing that elusive quality that led to forever.
Finding out that she was right, that she was unlovable, from a man who obviously had an incredible capacity to love, as she’d seen with his friends and family, would be too painful to survive. So she took the moment for what it was, committing to memory the warm aroma of the coffee, the way the sun cast a glassy haze over the kitchen, and the sleepy expression on his face that made him look softer. More relaxed. Like this was where he was supposed to be.
In this kitchen—with her.
Kennedy was becoming more attached—she could feel it. The way he treated her, the way he made her feel, even the way he looked at her, like right now, as if she were special. Which made her feel special.
