Elizabeth Hoyt is an amazing author so when I got the chance to read Duke of Pleasure early I was thrilled. I dived into the story as soon as I could and I loved it .Duke of Pleasure is another fantastic story from Elizabeth Hoyt
In this book we mainly follow Hugh and Alf. Hugh is trying to bring down a group called the Lords of chaos and these people are just seriously messed up, when you find out what they do ,it just depraved and to do this he hired Alf who is known as the Ghost of St Giles for her reputation for dealing in secrets and information to help get more information about this group. The fact that Alf is woman is a secret, she disguises herself as a boy to help her job, however when Alf and Hugh kiss it changes everything between them. I love the romance between Hugh and Alf , no matter what happened in this book I was rooting for them .Seeing their story play out over the course of this book made me so happy. It was sexy and swoon worthy ,I feel like when you read this book you definitely have the urge to fan yourself and smile at the same time lol. Elizabeth Hoyt creates unforgettable romantic in her stories.
I love the time period this book was set in, I felt completely submerged in it , I constantly say that it would be cool to time travel back to these times to see what they were actually like and I feel like Elizabeth Hoyt is so detailed in her setting that she creates this realistic beautiful image in your of what things would looked like , how people would act, how they dress ,how the balls would look etc . I felt like I was traveling around with Hugh and Alf through London and I loved every minute of it .
Duke Of Pleasure with a sexy ,thrilling historical romance and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book Elizabeth Hoyt writes . If you love all of these things in your books I suggest you get a copy when it comes out

Q&A With Elizabeth Hoyt
1 Where did the Idea for Duke of Pleasure come from?
Well I’ve done the Ghost of St. Giles—a masked vigilante in eighteenth century London—in several of my previous books, but the Ghost had always been a man before. I thought it would be interesting—especially for this time period—to make the action hero a woman. Alf has appeared in several of my Maiden Lane books so readers are familiar with her. She’s sharp, quick-witted, maybe a bit too brash and brave. She seemed perfect to take over the job of nighttime avenger of the poor and downtrodden. And then, of course, her hero had to be someone very upright, a no no-nonsense sort, but a man who could respect her and accept her for the competent woman she is. Hugh is the perfect match for her.
2 Can you carry us through what what your writing process looks like ?
Usually I come up with characters first and then plot later—sometimes a lot later. I outline the book—more or less—and then write a gawd-awful first draft and send it to my poor, poor editor. She tells me what needs work, I revise one to three times (or four. Duke of Pleasure was a record making five times I believe. It was a truly hellish book to write.) and when we’re both completely happy with the manuscript then—and only then—does it go to the copy-edit stage.
3 We all love books where what are some of your favorite books?
Well, that’s a broad question. ;-) Most recently I’ve enjoyed: The Color of Magic by Terry Pratchet, Carry On by Rainbow Rowell, Ransom Canyon by Jodi Thomas, Edge of Obsession by Megan Crane, Career of Evil by Robert Galbraith, and Waiting on You by Kristan Higgins

5 What are you working on right now writing wise?
I’m writing Duke of Desire, the twelfth and last book in the Maiden Lane series. It’ll be out August 2017.
